Turkish police have arrested 32 Afghan refugees who were hiding in secret compartments of a sewage tanker.
In the same operation, five individuals were detained on charges of organizing human trafficking.
After medical examinations, the refugees were transferred to a Foreign Nationals Return Center. Turkish authorities stated that the tanker had been specially modified to facilitate the illegal passage of migrants through checkpoints. The detention and deportation of Afghan refugees in the country continues, with reports indicating poor conditions in the holding facilities.
